Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts will open its hotel inside London's The Shard tower in May.
The 202-room Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London will occupy floors 34 to 52 of the 72-story, 1,003-foot-high glass building at London Bridge. When it opens on May 6, it will be the tallest hotel in western Europe.
It will be the group's third European property, following openings in Paris in 2010 and Istanbul last year.
As a result of The Shard's spiral shape, each guestroom and suite, which range from 98 square feet to 616 square feet, is individual in layout and design.
All guestrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows with unrivalled views across the city, marble-clad bathrooms with heated floors, separate bathtubs, Acqua di Parma amenities and mirrors with integrated television screens. Over a third of bathrooms will have city views.
The hotel will also have a bar on the 52nd floor, two restaurants, a 24-hour gym and London's highest infinity pool.
