Sheraton hotels in Phoenix, Chicago join Grand tier

Sheraton Hotels and Resorts designated the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel and the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers as Sheraton Grand properties. The hotels represent the tier’s official debut in North America. 

Sheraton Grand Phoenix is located in downtown Phoenix, and has a multitude of on-property dining options; approximately 112,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting and event space (including a 27,000 square foot ballroom); the “District American Kitchen and Wine Bar”; a rooftop “Breeze Bar”; and a fitness facility overlooking the outdoor lap pool with views of downtown Phoenix.

Sheraton Grand Chicago is situated on the Chicago River with 1,218 guestrooms and suites with views of either the Chicago River, Lake Michigan, or city skyline. The hotel has five restaurants and bars; a fitness center with a pool and sauna; and Chicago’s largest hotel ballroom at 40,000 square feet.

The Sheraton Grand tier was developed by Starwood to "recognize exceptional Sheraton hotels and resorts for their enticing destinations, distinguished designs, and excellence in service and guest experiences." Starwood is planning to designate 50 of its properties as Sheraton Grand hotels by the end of the year, and 100 by early 2017.
