A 149-suite hotel set to open Feb. 11 in downtown Oceanside is the latest development in San Diego, California's evolving seaside tourism district. The SpringHill Suites by Marriott at 110 North Mayers Street is one of several hotels that are planned in the downtown area and creates more opportunities for downtown business, according to mayor Jim Wood said.
The hotel will cater to both vacation and business travelers, who will have ocean views from their room balconies and a rooftop pool. It will also offer guests complimentary Wi-Fi in the lobby and high-speed internet in every suite. The property also has a 2,235-square-foot meeting room that can accommodate up to 120 people.
The SpringHill Suites, owned by GF Properties Group and managed by Sage Hospitality, will also offer a fish house called Hello Betty that will open later in February.
