U.S. hotel performance increased week over week, according to STR's latest data for Jan. 22-28.
For the week (percentage change from comparable week in 2019):
- Occupancy: 56.3 percent (-0.3 percent)
- Average daily rate: $142.66 (+13.4 percent)
- Revenue per available room: $80.32 (+13 percent)
In comparison, for the week of Jan. 15-21 (percentage change from comparable week in 2019):
- Occupancy: 54.2 percent (-6.2 percent)
- ADR: $140.16 (+11.3 percent)
- RevPAR: $75.97 (+4.4 percent)
Top Markets
Among STR’s top 25 markets, Dallas reported the highest occupancy increase over 2019 (+10.3 percent to 69.8 percent).
Tampa saw the largest increases in both ADR (+32.5 percent to $179.72) and RevPAR (+37 percent to $137.70).
The steepest RevPAR declines from 2019 were seen in Atlanta (-34.5 percent to $91.86) and San Francisco (-28.2 percent to $115.29).
