Two new hotels are under construction adjacent to the Brisbane Airport in Australia. A Pullman and an Ibis Hotel are both planned to open in 2017.

Work officially started on the 130-room Pullman and 243-room Ibis hotels, along with the 600-capacity, 5,692-square-foot Brisbane Airport Conference Centre.

The construction is part of a joint development between Scott Flynn Properties and the Flynn Property Group. The new Pullman and Ibis hotels would primarily cater for domestic guests in the shorter term, but increased numbers coming through the international terminal would also be captured. Brisbane Airport will also be opening a second runway in 2020.
