Westin Denver International Airport opens

The Westin Denver International Airport hotel and conference center is officially open.

The 433,000-square-foot hotel and conference center took three years to build, and consists of 519 guestrooms, 35 of which are suites. The Denver International Airport owns the hotel, and Westin will operate it.

The hotel's guestrooms occupy the top eight floors of the 14-story building. The first floor is the platform for trains to the 16th Street Mall in Denver. The second floor is a conference center with 12 rooms, two junior ballrooms and one grand ballroom. Other amenities in the hotel include a gym, pool and restaurant.
