Avid Hotels opens new Georgia hotel

 

IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened the 45th property under its Avid brand. 

The Avid hotel Macon North in Macon, Ga., is owned by Sainath Hospitality. About an hour from Atlanta, this hotel is close to Mercer University and Wesleyan College and central to the growing secondary market in Georgia, housing three hospitals and many businesses.

In addition to Macon, IHG has also opened the Avid Hotel Millsboro – Georgetown South, the first Avid hotels property in Delaware, owned by MPL Management; and the Avid Hotel Byron – Warner Robins, owned by HIE Byron.

Other recently opened Avid hotels properties include:

  • Avid Hotel Lexington – Hamburg Area: Opened on Aug. 27 and owned by Rainmaker Hospitality, this property is the first in Kentucky.
  • Avid Hotel Salem: Opened on Aug. 27 and owned by OMMA Management, this Virginia property is in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
  • Avid Hotel Fayetteville West: Opened on Sept. 10 and owned by Donda Investment, this property is the second in Arkansas, near the University of Arkansas, five minutes from Centennial Mountain and central to Walmart Corporate Headquarters.
  • Avid Hotel Memphis – Southaven: Opened on Oct. 11 and owned Legendary Capital, this hotel is close to downtown Memphis’ medical district.

All Avid hotels are new-build.
