Boston Park Plaza Hotel to undergo $95M update

The Boston Park Plaza Hotel is undergoing a $95-million renovation, which includes updated bathrooms, a new restaurant, a ballroom and a grand staircase.

The 14 story hotel has been a fixture in the city of Boston since 1927, but over the years things have deteriorated. Now the Park Plaza is getting a new heating and air conditioning system, along with new carpet, kitchens, gym and lobby. All 1,054 bedrooms will also be completely gutted and refurbished. The hotel also includes a new high end restaurant called Strip by Strega.

The restaurant includes exclusive VIP bars and private dining with walls that close. Workers are putting on the finishing touches to the restaurant now.
