Revised plans for the Edinburgh Marina have been approved by the City of Edinburgh Council. The new plans will allow for a new hotel as well as a 300-berth docking facility.
The Edinburgh Marina project is expected to provide a major boost to inward investment in Edinburgh. The total investment could surpass £300 million before the project is completed.
The 123-room hotel will include conference and spa facilities as well as almost 9,000 square metres of retail space, Scottish Construction Now is reporting. The hotel will be designed by Glasgow-based Wilson Gunn Architects.
The plan also includes new transport facilities for the area, including the extension of the tram service.
