Genting Group's $4B Resorts World Las Vegas to open mid 2018

Malaysia-based developer Genting Group is developing a $4-billion, Chinese-themed resort on the site of the former Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas. The hotel is expected to open by mid-2018.

Genting Group, which has casino resorts on several continents, first projected a 2016 opening for the upcoming Resorts World Las Vegas when it bought the site from Boyd Gaming in 2013 for $350 million. Plans for Resorts World Las Vegas include 3,500 rooms, an outdoor amphitheater and a possible panda habitat.
