IHIF's Road to Berlin: Barclays' Tim Helliwell

ihif-2016

Tim Helliwell is head of hotel finance at Barclays Bank, and based in London. At IHIF in Berlin, March 7-9, Tim will be part of an innovative panel: "The Debt Market—Lenders Got Talent." A play off the hit show "America's Got Talent," lenders will pitch to a judging panel of owners regarding their different borrowing options and structures.

Ahead of the conference, in December, more than 400 top hospitality minds and deal makers gathered in London for the IHIF Sponsor dinner. In the exclusive IHIF "Road to Berlin" video below, Tim shares his assessment of the hospitality sector from the banker's point of view. Above all, he notes the continued interest in hotels from the lending community, along with what he calls the "wave of liquidity supporting the sector."

Tim's interview is just one in a slew of talks IHIF has and will be doing with hospitality executives as we move closer to Berlin and the IHIF conference.
