Ireland's Talbot Hotel Collection looks to grow in Wexford

Ireland's Talbot Hotel Collection, which owns five properties across the country, may add a sixth. Rumors are buzzing that the company is purchasing the Stonebridge Development along the Wexford Quays in the country's southeast.

The Wexford People is reporting that the six-story block will become an aparthotel with some apartments available for leasing.

While the price of the deal was not disclosed, the Group offered "considerably more" than the €6.75 million-plus Stonebridge was poised to attract when it came on to the market last September. The property was put up for sale on the instructions of receiver Paul McCann of Grant Thornton Ireland.

The Talbot Hotel Collection includes properties in Wexford, Carlow and Dublin.
