Langham signs first Texas hotel

Hong-kong-based Langham Hospitality Group has signed its first hotel in Texas. Slated to open in early 2018, The Langham Place, Wade Park, in Frisco, Texas, will be one part of a $1.6 billion, 175-acre development created by Thomas Land & Development. Langham will operate the new hotel. The groundbreaking is expected to take place later this year, and the completed hotel will be part of the luxury Langham Hotels and Resorts brand.  

“This project will play a key role in Langham Hotels and Resorts’ expansion in the United States,"  Robert Warman, CEO of Langham Hospitality Group, said in a statement.

Designed by 5G Studio Collaborative in Dallas, the hotel will have 35 floors and 250 rooms. Thomas Land and Development broke ground on Wade Park in August 2014.
