Meydan Group building new hotel on Dubai's Jumeirah Beach Residence

In Dubai, master developer Meydan Group is building a five-star beach hotel on Jumeirah Beach Residence.

At the launch event for the third phase of District One in Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City, Meydan officials told Construction Week that the beach hotel will be located next to the Ritz-Carlton and opposite to the Mövenpick hotel in JBR.

Meghnad Warrier, vice president of finance, Meydan Group, told the site that the completed hotel will have around 260 rooms, including hotel and serviced apartments. 

"We have already started the shoring and piling works for the project," he said. "Construction contract has already been awarded and the project is expected to be completed within three years' time." 

No brand or operator has been announced for the hotel as of yet.
