Motel One to open five new European hotels in 2016

Budget chain Motel One is reportedly planning to open hotels opening in five European city centers

The Motel One Newcastle will open in January, combining the renovation of a 50-room building with a new 172-room building. In the spring, the Motel One München-Olympia Gate will open in Schwabing as the seventh Motel One in Munich. The brand is slated to make its Switzerland debut in summer with the opening of the Motel One Basel, and will also open the Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt, its third property in Stuttgart. The Motel One Freiburg, the company's first hotel in the city, will open at the end of the year. 

Farther out, the Motel One Glasgow, Motel One Zurich and Motel One Manchester-Cross Street are reportedly in the pipeline for 2017.
