New Hyatt House property planned for International Drive in Orlando, Fla.

A new eight-story, 175-room hotel may be coming to Orlando, Fla., settling in on north International Drive.

Le Royal International Development, owner of 3.5 acres of land at 5360 International Drive, will seek approval for a nearly 199,000-square-foot Hyatt House hotel from the Orlando Municipal Planning Board on May 20, according to city of Orlando documents.

The Hyatt House flag, which is the limited service, extended stay brand of Hyatt Hotels Corp., would be the first Hyatt House in Orlando, according to Hyatt's website. There are currently only two other Hyatt House brands in Florida, one in Fort Lauderdale and one in Miami.
