RLHC (Red Lion Hotels Corporation) is opening a second Red Lion Hotel near the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida after securing a franchise license agreement with owners of a currently shuttered hotel.

The hotel is located in Kissimmee, Fla., and is currently undergoing renovations. The property is planning to reopen by November 2016. The future Red Lion Hotel Orlando – Lake Buena Vista South will have 416 guestrooms and suites, an outdoor pool with a lazy river and children’s play area, a full-service restaurant, a poolside sports bar, business center, multilingual staff, complimentary parking and concierge services.

“We will have invested millions in a complete refurbishment of the property inside and out when we reopen as a Red Lion Hotel,” said Jeff Carter of Carter Hospitality Group, whose affiliate owns the property and also owns the Red Lion Hotel Orlando – Kissimmee Maingate, which opened last month. “We are in the process of incorporating the new guest room design in this incredible location, and the plans for the renovation are going as scheduled.”
