Rockbridge acquired the DoubleTree Hotel and Suites Charleston – Historic District, as well as Hank’s Seafood Restaurant, which is located adjacent to the hotel, from The Holliday Companies for an undisclosed sum.

Rockbridge is working with the seller and its team to have a seamless transition with no changes in the day-to-day operations. The Holliday Companies, its president Sergio Roa and chef Frank McMahon will assist in overseeing the operations of Hank’s Seafood Restaurant for Rockbridge. Charlestowne Hotels, with its headquarters in Charleston, will manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel.

The hotel is located adjacent to the Charleston City Market. Following its acquisition by The Holliday Companies in August 1998, the hotel underwent a renovation and became a Hilton Hotel bearing the DoubleTree flag. The property has 212 guestrooms, including 165 guest suites, as well as over 12,000 square feet of meeting space, an underground 140-space parking garage, fitness and business centers and a private courtyard.
