A Saudi Arabian hospitality and tourism company is looking to India as a budget hospitality partner. Senior executives of Elaf Hotels Company and Elaf Travel and Tourism Company are reportedly exploring the potential of India’s tourism market and the Indian Haj and Umrah pilgrimage sector, Hotelier Middle East is reporting.

Elaf Hotels vice president Abdullah H. Bakri said that the company has identified several opportunities to carry out projects for budget hotels in India as part of the tie-up in the vital tourism sector with Indian partners. Large-scale Indian companies would provide a nation-wide network to bring in more Umrah pilgrims.

The Saudi Economic and Development Company (SEDCO) has invested in more than 100 companies in India, and may partner with India's Long term Accommodation Committee for Haj pilgrims.
