Soul Community Planet acquires Hotel Seven4one

Soul Community Planet has acquired the Hotel Seven4one, a boutique hotel located in Laguna Beach, Calif. The acquisition marks the second California property and seventh acquisition in the SCP portfolio. The company acquired the Laguna Riviera Beach Resort earlier this month.

The boutique property has 12 rooms, including two suites with kitchenettes. The property also has an outdoor courtyard with fireplace, living wall, as well as a second story sundeck with panoramic ocean views.

“This property will be the perfect complement to our recently acquired Laguna Riviera Beach Resort, which will be rebranded in the coming months as the SCP Laguna Beach following our planned renovation program to better align the property with SCP’s healthy, kind and green core values,” said SCP Co-Founder and CEO Ken Cruse.

Built in 1940, the building’s bones remain unchanged. The inn was recently remodeled with living greenwalls, reclaimed wood and other features that made it into an eco-contemporary hotel.

In keeping with SCP’s brand and “Scandi-boho” design aesthetic, the property will be renovated to include new furniture, flooring and zen design features.

SCP, which has added three properties to is growing portfolio during 2021 as part of a previously announced growth initiative, is focused on expanding the brand’s footprint into markets that share its core value and culture and thereby appeal to SCP’s target “conscious consumer” traveler base. SCP Hotels are currently located in Laguna Beach, Calif., Colorado Springs, Colo., Redmond and Depoe Bay, Ore., Hilo, Hawaii, and Gleneden Beach, Ore. SCP is looking to launch at least 25 SCP locations in the U.S. by the end of 2023.

SCP also announced it will move its headquarters to Laguna Beach as part of the recent acquisitions.
