
Tata Group-controlled Vivanta by Taj is planning to add 10 more hotels to its portfolio to take its count to 40 in the next five years, reports DNA India. Of the 10 hotels, two would open in Guwahati and Amritsar this fiscal year.
"We would have 10 more Vivanta by Taj hotels in next five years...We would open Vivanta by Taj at Guwahati in next six months," said Vivanta by Taj Hotels & Resorts Chief Operating Officer Veer Vijay Singh. "We have projects at places like Rishikesh, Andaman and Nicobar islands and Lakshadweep in pipelines."
Vivanta by Taj, which is Taj Hotels & Resorts' upper-upscale brand, has hotels in Sri Lanka, Maldives and Malaysia and also reportedly has plans to open in the Middle East and Africa.
"We have plans to expand more in Middle East and Africa. Our Dubai property is coming in next three years," Singh added.
There are presently 30 hotels under this hospitality brand.
