Waterstone Resort & Marina reopens after year-long renovation

The 139-room Waterstone Resort & Marina hotel opened after a year-long transformation from the Boca Raton Bridge Hotel.

The resort will operate under the Doubletree by Hilton brand after new owners invested more than $10 million in renovations. New York-based AWH Partners and The Lane Organization bought the boutique hotel in August 2012. County property records list the purchase price as $20.16 million.

The hotel closed in late April 2013 for renovations as the new owners resurrected a resort that had struggled with low occupancy in recent years. Its two restaurants — Boca Landing and Waterstone Bar & Grill — offer a seafood-driven small plate and Latin tropical–inspired menus, respectively.
