Philippines group, AccorHotels developing Manila Novotel

Philippines-based Century Properties is partnering with AccorHotels on a Novotel in Manila. The 310-room, 41-floor Novotel Suites Manila at Acqua will be the third branded development at the Acqua Private Residences in Mandaluyong City. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2019 and is being developed by Century Limitless Corp., a subsidiary of Century Properties Group.
The launch of the hotel development is in line with Century’s portfolio diversification into the allied real estate segments of leisure and tourism, which the company has identified as a structural growth area for the Philippine economy, reports Phil Star.
“Century is proud to officially announce its strategic partnership with AccorHotels for Novotel Suites Manila at Acqua, on the back of a healthy outlook on the Philippines’ tourism and hospitality sector. This partnership is in line with our company’s thrust to support the growth of tourism in the Philippines, to use our extensive experience in developing premium residential spaces to deliver quality hotel projects, and to strengthen our portfolio while we create value for the company and our shareholders,” said Century Properties Group COO Marco R. Antonio.
Patrick Basset, COO for AccorHotels Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and the Philippines, said: “We are excited to collaborate with Century Properties to develop a Novotel Suites hotel in the Philippines and appreciate the trust they have in our hospitality expertise. Once complete, this all-suite hotel will combine the latest design and innovation to create a perfect hotel for leisure, business and long stay guests looking to stay in the proximity of Makati.”
The 41-storey tower will be divided into two areas – approximately 149 residential units for full ownership and 310 hotel suites that will be managed by AccorHotels under the Novotel Suites brand.
Out of the 310 hotel suites in Novotel Suites Manila, 152 hotel units will be owned and sold as preferred shares through the Century Fractional Ownership Program by Century Acqua Lifestyle Corp., a subsidiary of Century Limitless Corp. The remaining 158 hotel units will be retained by Century Limitless.
