Alpine Reflections: Heritage Wall Mirror from Studio Seitz

Studio Seitz has launched The Heritage Wall Mirror. The mirror’s silhouette was initially inspired by deconstructing a classic Fahreimer (Alpine milking pail), stripping it back to its essence. The frame’s inside has sixteen geometric facets, referencing its construction method, contrasted with a round exterior—all held together by a “belt.”

Each mirror is individually carved with heritage Swiss patterns through the craft of “Schnitzerei”—now only practiced by a handful in the world. Using solid natural materials, like locally sourced Forest Stewardship Council-certified solid European ash, allows the mirror to breathe throughout the seasons, increasing its longevity.

Studio Seitz cofounder Kevin Seitz was inspired to create the mirror by the Alpine furniture he grew up with in and around Switzerland.
