British lighting manufacturer Original BTC is celebrating 10 years of the Bauhaus-inspired London collection.
The Bauhaus style is equal parts geometric and abstract, characterized by modern, rounded forms, sharp angles and saturated primary colors. It was this movement that inspired Charlie Bowles, director of Original BTC, to design his first light for the brand 10 years ago: the London.
The London has a spun aluminum semi-sphere shade with a solid chrome base. Matching cotton braided flex is woven through the curved chrome arm for a tailored finish. Assembled by hand at Original BTC’s headquarters near Oxford, the London is offered in both table and wall light versions and is available in yellow, black and putty grey with a solid chromed back plate.
