Eight Sleep has unveiled the Pod, a high-tech bed that combines temperature regulation (between 55 and 115 degrees Fahrenheit), biometric tracking, smart home integrations and sleep coaching.
Its most groundbreaking feature, dynamic temperature, includes artificial intelligence that learns sleep habits and adjusts the temperature in bed automatically. Users may also be able to leverage temperature to wake up more naturally and without disturbing their sleeping partner using a thermo-alarm that begins to gradually cool the bed minutes prior to the set wake-up time.
The feature was built using data accumulated over years, including more than 43 million hours of tracked sleep and a body of circadian rhythm research. All features of the Pod can be managed from any Android or iOS device.
