Claridge Products launched Mix, a line of customizable mobile and wall-mounted markerboards composed of wood and metal in a variety of finishes and details. Mix enables a designer to customize virtually every board-system component–from colors, finishes and writing surfaces to metal trays, bases and accent strips–resulting in a unlimited palette and allowing for transformation of design concept into creation.
More than just a markerboard line, Mix was developed in partnership with Q Design, the product-design-and-development branch of Chicago-based Whitney Architects, and was created as a multipurpose visual display furniture line that also can be used for mobile space dividers, biophilic walls or acoustic solutions. Q Design saw the potential for whiteboards and partitions to be incorporated into interior architectural projects and thereby enhance the space for which they were specified. Every mobile and wall mounted markerboard has a metal accent strip highlighting the integrated marker rail. This accent piece allows specifiers to tailor the boards to meet the desired aesthetic by choosing from a variety of powder coat colors offered by Claridge.
