Modular Tiles: EchoTile Sync from Kirei

Kirei, a provider of eco-friendly design materials, has launched EchoTile Sync, a modular acoustic tile system. Developed in collaboration with designer Michael DiTullo, the modular system lets designers build out a feature wall.

The seven tile sizes (11.5 inches by 11.5 inches, 11.5 inches by 23 inches, 11.5 inches by 46 inches, 23 inches by 23 inches, 23 inches by 46 inches, 46 inches by 46 inches and 46 inches by 96 inches) are completely modular with 33 colorways. Each EchoTile Sync tile has beveled edges that work on uneven walls. The system is scalable and installs with construction adhesive. The different shapes and sizes let designers choose between creating wild patterns or calming designs while improving occupant well-being through EchoTile Sync’s health certifications and acoustic properties.

EchoTile Sync is made from EchoPanel, a registered trademark of Woven Image. The material is low on volatile organic compounds, which are harmful to the environment and humans, and has published its ingredients through Declare and third-party certification by Global GreenTag. Made from more than 60 percent recycled polyethylene terephthalate, each panel diverts 235 single-use plastic bottles from global landfills and waterways.
