Richness of textures: Personnalités by Elliott Barnes from La Manufacture Cogolin

La Manufacture Cogolin has launched a new collection of wool, cotton and jute carpets.

Called Personnalités, the collection by Elliott Barnes comprises five rugs (Cardinal, Ellington, Varin and Théo) that have abstract details derived from a series of declensions and transformations. These five rugs are made to order in wool, cotton and jute, and are hand woven in narrow panels on 19th Century Jacquard looms at the manufacturing plant in Cogolin, before the panels are sewn together by hand.

La Manufacture Cogolin was established in 1924 in a village near Saint-Tropez. It was purchased by the textile engineer Jean Lauer in 1928.
