French furniture firm dsignedby has launched the Table T, a table with built-in LED strip under the its surface to warm the room and atmosphere around it.
In the construction of the table, the most challenging part was finding a way to incorporate the metallic holding structure without it being visible when the LED strip is lit. The LED light passes through the white semi-transparent surface to leave an eye-catching impression of linear graphics behind. The LED light is powered by rechargeable battery.
DuPont Corian is the table’s main material, creating a play between luminosity and substance, which contrasts with the metallic painted holding structure and solid wood as its standing parts. The table comes in two sizes, though the size and its color may also be customized.
