Cloud-based Hotelogix PMS is upgraded

Since its introduction to the North America hotel market last month, operators of independent hotels and small- to medium-sized group properties have inquired Hotelogix  about its no-cost, cloud-based property-management system. The company's "Freemium" offering offers hoteliers one user license of the robust PMS free.

Hotelogix is a cloud PMS currently used in 75 countries. In November, the company released its most recent product upgrade. Offering all the tools needed to run front desk operations (including an integrated booking engine for hotel website, unlimited POS for restaurants and spa, housekeeping, and user reports), the newly-enhanced Hotelogix solution now includes: daily rate grid, housekeeping audit trail, multilingual reporting customization of the online booking engine, channel management and more. In addition, front desk staff can now use the system in Russian (or other preferred language of choice, including: Arabic, English, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish and Thai).

The Hotelogix PMS is built around its FrontDesk module. Hotelogix FrontDesk is laid out as a grid that displays up-to-the-minute status of a property. It is a reservation chart that doubles up as a powerful dashboard. Staff can draw bookings on it directly or update reservations with simple point-and-click controls. FrontDesk is also the heart of the hotel's operation, keeping managers connected to all key areas of the hotel. Bookings from the hotel's website, travel agents, outside channels/global distribution systems show instantly on the reservation chart.

With FrontDesk, hoteliers can:

  • Complete complex tasks and workflows, such as room change, upgrade and payment with a right click and drag and drop.
  • Change a rate by simply clicking on it and selecting from available options. Only valid rates will appear. Upgrade a guest to a new room and add breakfast or airport transfers, and the system will select the appropriate charges and taxes automatically.
  • Work with full insight of revenues and room sales. Avoid unwanted surprises when dealing with payments due from guests or travel agents. The system enables hoteliers to always be aware and prepared regarding occupancy and future forecasts.
  • Track guest payments at all stages of a booking and stay. Customize this feature and access up-to-the-minute information about pending reservations and prevent unwanted financial exposure to protect business interests.

FrontDesk comes equipped with integrated modules for point of sale (touchscreen enabled, ready for roomservice, integrated reports, supports packages and add ons), housekeeping (automatic updating of room status and task monitoring), reports (checking forecasts and tracking progress) and accounting (manage travel agents, corporate credits and commissions plus manage invoices, payables, aging reports deductions, etc.). Interfaces are also provided for online distribution, TripConnect, EPBAX, kitchen order ticket printer and payment gateways.
