Chicago Marriott Downtown completes fitness center upgrade

The Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile completed its $2 million fitness center renovation that saw the space expand from 2,200 square feet to 9,000 square feet. Marriott Architecture & Construction Division, DiamondRock Hospitality Company and the Hotel and Life Fitness collaborated for the renovation.

The fitness center’s open studio, or “Fitness Lab,” has technology that allows guests to choose from 1,200 digital fitness classes at their convenience via Fitness On Demand. Digital classes offered include cycling, yoga, Zumba, Pilates, step, boot camp, hip-hop dance and more. Additionally, the studio will offer kid’s classes.

Life Fitness cardio equipment available at the space includes treadmills, elliptical and stair machines, upright and recumbent bikes, aqua rowers and more, all cable-ready with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB cable. There is also a Synergy 360 station with box jump and adjustable pulley system, stability balls, TRX station, chest press machine, shoulder press machine and leg extension machine.

The Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile is located directly on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, near the city’s attractions. The property has 1,200 guestrooms and suites with views, HD flat screen TVs and Revive bedding and accessories. For events, the property has 68,000 square feet of meeting space.
