The Inn at Vaucluse Spring to reopen under new ownership

The Inn at Vaucluse Spring announces a new era with new ownership and a $4.5 million renovation project. Located in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, the reimagined boutique inn is set to reopen in early 2025.

The highlight of this transformation is the culinary program led by chef proprietor Jan Van Haute. As a co-owner of the property, Van Haute's fare will be showcased in two on-site restaurants.

The inn is located on 44 acres, with 15 suites, an on-property spa, a pool and gardens that will grow much of the produce used in the on-site restaurants. Six guest houses were designed to blend modern comforts with the historic charm of the 200-year-old estate.

"Our vision is to create a destination where luxury, sustainability, and exceptional gastronomy come together," Van Haute said in a statement. "We're passionate about connecting our visitors with the local community, showcasing the rich culinary traditions and artisanal craftsmanship of the Shenandoah Valley. Our guests will have the opportunity to engage with local farmers, winemakers and artisans, creating a truly immersive and authentic experience.”

The renovation is being done by team of local partners, including architects from Longhouse, interior designer Christopher Zoltan Designs, construction specialists at Caseco and landscape architects at Huntlands Landscape Architecture.

The renovations will include extensive updates to the interiors and gardens, drawing inspiration from the European countryside while honoring the Shenandoah and Virginia Wine Country heritage.
