Javier Sordo Madaleno converts The Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas & Spa into all-villa oceanfront resort

Vistana Signature Experiences, owner and operator of Westin Vacation Club resorts, opened The Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas & Spa following renovation. Architect Javier Sordo Madaleno oversaw the renovation.

Located in the southern end of Baja California, the resort transformed its 243 guestrooms and suites into 147 villas. The resort's accommodations include studios and two-bedroom villas. The villas have kitchens, balconies, and washers and dryers, while the two-bedroom premium villas and two luxury suites have private balcony Jacuzzis.

The Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas & Spa has spa and fitness facilities, spanning 10,000 square feet. Inspired by the artwork from the Otomí people of Central Mexico, Spa Otomí has seven treatment rooms and a lounge. Meanwhile, the WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio has an open design.

Additional amenities include infinity-edge pools, tennis courts and beach volleyball.

For dining, the property has Cocina Casera, gourmet restaurant El Ciruelo, Mercadito, La Cantina Sports Bar and Coralline, which is located beachside.

The Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas & Spa joins the brand's presence in Mexico, which currently includes hotels and resorts in Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara, Cozumel and two properties in Cancún. The brand will also open The Westin Puebla and The Westin Monterrey in 2018.
