TeamV Architecture, Tank Interior Design partner for Hotel Arena makeover

In Eastern Amsterdam, the Hotel Arena is scheduled to reopen this September, following a redesign by locally based TeamV Architecture and Tank Interior Design.

Design-wise, the 118,400-square-foot property’s makeover will merge the historic setting and the modern Oosterpark.

Upon completion of the redesign, the hotel will have a new parkside entrance and terrace that will serve as a gateway to the city.

Meanwhile, to evoke a classic Amsterdam feel, the property will have open structures and glass walls, as well as greenery. The color palette will be dominated by earthy tones.

The Arena will also have a new wing that will expand the room count by 16. Reimagined rooms from the original building will have a boutique quality.

The historic chapel and a new gallery space will be the hotel’s main venues for events. There will be five new studios and a patio that will also be usable as a meeting space. The property’s eatery, Park, will integrate culinary elements sourced from the onsite herb garden.
