In 2015, Sonesta invested over $250 million in upgrades and redesigns to its US collection.

The renovations at Royal Sonesta New Orleans are the culmination of enhancements that started with the re-imagining of Desire Oyster Bar, the hotel’s restaurant on Bourbon Street. The interior redesign blends the property’s original aesthetics with modern elements, including decorative iron grillwork, oversized windows, an antique mirror, tin ceiling and black-and-white checkered floors.
