New York – Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP) announced the Holiday Inn New Orleans Westbank as the winner of the RCP Executive Series Caring for the Community award. As a prize, RCP is delivering brand-new full lines of cleaning products to the New Orleans hotel and its partner charity, the Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (LA/SPCA). The winners of the award were announced at the International Hotel, Motel and Restaurant Show held in New York City in November, and RCP presented the products to the hotel and shelter in December.
Rubbermaid Commercial Products partnered with Hotel Management magazine to present the award in celebration of the launch of the company’s Executive Series line of products. The Executive Series was designed by RCP using feedback from hospitality groups, updating their classic line of cleaning and safety products with a high-end look that will match upscale properties in need of the products. The Holiday Inn New Orleans Westbank received this product line.

“We know that a clean environment is a key element of a successful hotel, and the same is true for nonprofit organizations,” said Cory Wilkinson, director of marketing for RCP. “Our communities are better places because of business and nonprofit partnerships, like the one between the Holiday Inn Westbank and the LA/SPCA. We are so happy to provide new cleaning solutions to help with their great work.”
Hotel properties applied for the award online and their industry peers voted on the five finalists. The Holiday Inn New Orleans Westbank was selected as the winner due to its ongoing efforts to support LA/SPCA through fundraising, donations and volunteering, to help provide care and medical services for homeless animals.
“I couldn’t be more proud of our team,” said Dustin Floyd, GM of the Holiday Inn New Orleans Westbank. “So many of our staff have adopted pets from the LA/SPCA. We believe deeply in their mission and how important it is for all of us to give back.”
More than 70 hotels nationwide entered the competition.
“We are so thankful for our wonderful partners at the Holiday Inn Westbank,” said Dean Howard, development director for the LA/SPCA.
