Hilton Worldwide is expanding its Hilton HHonors rewards program to offer discounted room rates on direct bookings through its brand websites, the Hilton HHonors moble app and call centers or through corporate travel partners and approved travel agents.
The discount is available at over 4,500 hotels globally. In addition to this, Hilton is launching a new "Stop Clicking Around" marketing campaign to emphasize the benefits of direct bookings and Hilton HHonors membership.
"Last year, 57 billion Hilton HHonors Points - or more than 1.6 million free nights - went unearned because guests booked their stay through a third party," said Mark Weinstein, global head of customer engagement, loyalty and partnerships at Hilton Worldwide. "There is a huge misconception that third parties always offer lower prices for our hotel rooms, which is simply not true."
