Daniel Heagney, GM of the Found Hotel Chicago River North, joined Found Places in September of this year to be the brand standards manager for the company as well as the opening GM for the brand’s flagship property, slated to open in late 2017. “I dissected the entire guest experience from reservation creation, arrival and in-room amenities to the experiences our guests will have inside and outside of the hotel. This culminated in a set of Brand Standards and a way forward for the creation of Found Hotels.”
Global hotel companies are focusing very much on attracting travelers from your generation. If you could tell the industry, “Hey! This is what we really want in a hotel stay,” what would you say?
We want a safe place to sleep at night and put our stuff. More importantly, we want to meet others along the way and have those local experiences that we’ll talk about for the rest of our lives. Less talk about major attractions we all know and more about something I want to tell my friends about. Give us a place to relax with other guests playing games or watching movies when our day plans were rained out. Give us a communal kitchen where our new friends from South America can show us their local cooking flair. A continental breakfast is great, but where can I get a breakfast that SCREAMS about the city culture? That’s what we want.
