Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has plans for a second Element hotel in the Miami metropolitan area. Element Miami Doral is expected to open in July 2015, part of a dual-hotel development, joining Aloft Miami Doral which opened in March 2013.
Owned by Eurocon, LLC, the Element Miami Doral will have 139 rooms, noted for their sustainability.
"We are delighted to break ground on Element Miami Doral, the second Starwood property in this ideally located dual-hotel development, close to Miami’s best shopping, world-famous beaches and nightlife," said Brian McGuinness, SVP of specialty select brands for Starwood. "The Element brand offers guests a bright, energizing environment that's conducive to both work and play and we expect this hotel will be well received by visitors to greater Miami."
The hotel will have studios as well as one bedroom suites featuring modular furniture, swiveling flat-screen televisions, large desks with open shelving and custom-designed closets. Rooms will also have kitchens and spa-inspired bathrooms. Other brand signatures will include 24-hour fitness center, an outdoor saline swimming pool and a 1,500-square-foot meeting room.
“The Element brand is cropping up in markets across North America, fueled by the enthusiasm of travelers and developers who share the brand’s passion for clean, sustainable living,” said Allison Reid, SVP of North America development, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. “With everything guests need for a life in balance, Element Miami Doral will provide an entirely fresh perspective on the extended stay experience.”
