Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has signed an agreement with the Phoenix Enterprises owner of Inversiones Hoteleras La Quinta S.L.U., for The Westin La Quinta Golf & Spa Resort, a hotel conversion slated to open in March 2016.
The property deal marks the return of The Westin flag to the Andalusian resort in Benahavis.
The Westin La Quinta Golf & Spa Resort will have 172 guest rooms, including five suites and one Presidential Suite. Resources will also include a 1,500 square meter Heavenly Spa.
The resort also has more than 800 square meters of event space, including a ballroom, three meeting rooms and a 24-hour business center.
The Westin La Quinta Golf & Spa Resort will also have a 27-hole Championship course designed by Manuel Piñero. Three of the links are 9-hole greens, and services include a driving range, putting green, and a Club House with a bar and a restaurant.
Westin La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa will be the 18th Westin hotel in Europe, joining properties in Berlin, Costa Navarino, Dublin, Madrid, Paris, Venice and Warsaw. Today, more than half of Westin hotels are in the United States, however more than 65% of the brand’s pipeline is outside of the U.S.
