Angie Hospitality acquires Roxy

Angie Hospitality purchased the assets of Roxy, a competing provider of speech-enabled virtual assistant technology for the hospitality industry. As part of the agreement, Angie Hospitality will assume management and support of all existing Roxy installations and customers worldwide.

“Both Roxy and Angie Hospitality have shared a founding principle of providing hoteliers with innovative solutions needed to keep pace with the rapid technological advancements taking place in consumers' homes, but taking it even further by tailoring experiences that meet the unique needs of the hotel environment,” Angie Hospitality CEO Ted Helvey said in a statement. “The best part about this acquisition is that nothing changes for current Roxy customers. Properties equipped with Roxy devices can rest assured that they can rely on the full resources and expertise of Angie Hospitality during this transition.”

Under Angie's ownership, hotels with Roxy installations can continue using the same hardware and software. In addition to current capabilities, the Angie team looks forward to putting its extensive resources and integrations behind Roxy so that hotel staff and guests have a positive experience that only gets better.

Designed specifically for the hospitality environment, Angie is built to streamline hotel operations, improve staff efficiencies and maximize revenue opportunities. Angie's flexible, modular platform allows it to serve as a complete standalone system or, through integration with leading hotel technology system providers, the solution offers a variety of configurations to replace the guestroom telephone and include room automation features, energy management and more.

In addition to its Wi-Fi, touch-screen and natural voice-recognition capabilities, Angie also allows guests to play their own music through built-in Bluetooth speakers, make hands-free calls, access hotel amenities and information and charge devices.
