Hawaiian resort upgrades, expands Wi-Fi infrastructure

Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach in Honolulu enhanced its Wi-Fi services with Hotel Internet Services. Recently completing a large-scale redevelopment, the hotel’s Wi-Fi infrastructure was also updated using state-of-the-art Ruckus wireless equipment in order to provide guests with speed, reliability and security.

In addition to maintaining guest satisfaction with internet browsing and downloading, Alohilani Resort further sought to enhance its online offerings with services such as in-room streaming and casting. By working with HIS, the property was able to identify and implement the precise solution needed to ensure that all connected devices and services operate seamlessly.

“Based on previous business experience with Hotel Internet Services, we were already familiar with the company’s reputation in delivering on desired expectations and in providing high-quality support, so selecting them for this project was an easy choice to make,” manager Joseph Yamaoka said in a statement. “We now have a Wi-Fi network infrastructure in place that is not only able to handle the most demanding online needs for guests, but is also fully capable of supporting any online-based services and amenities that we plan to add in the future.”

Also equipped with the HIS propriety dashboard, Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach staff can view and maintain direct control over network health. Features include the ability to analyze vital data, such as the number of users online, support tickets, revenue generated through Wi-Fi purchases, the amount of broadband being utilized or the operational status of each segment of a property’s network.
