Kempinski to implement groupwide business intelligence platform

Kempinski Hotels, Europe's oldest luxury hotel group, has implemented Infor’s Dynamic Enterprise Performance Management. The solution will be deployed across the group's 73 five-star hotels in 31 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia and is designed to serve as a unified business intelligence platform, complementing the existing installation of Infor EzRMS.

The combination of both solutions integrated with the group's finance systems enables Kempinski to consolidate and analyze financial, operational, market and performance data from multiple sources, enabling faster and better-informed decision-making by providing a more holistic view of forecasting, revenues and costs.

Kempinski chose Infor d/EPM for its comprehensive functionality and integration capabilities. Infor d/EPM is an integrated platform for BI, financial consolidation, budgeting, planning and KPI dashboards that is designed to help companies understand risk, performance, and the impact of decisions at property, region and group levels.

By adding Infor d/EPM, Kempinski benefits from insights into specific business drivers on a single platform. For the first time, the group has access to real-time performance visibility across its business and is in a position to achieve increased consistency in demand management, distribution and account production analysis. Infor d/EPM makes use of Infor ION, Infor's light middleware technology, to integrate with Kempinski financial systems, Infor EzRMS as well as other third party systems. Revenue management forecasts, as well as data from other sources such as finance, operations, reservations, demand and reputation systems are sent automatically to Infor d/EPM, eliminating the data consolidation process previously run manually once a month. Infor d/EPM pushes role-specific insights in uniform or custom configurable performance dashboards, providing at-a-glance information which is designed to help with better decision making at all levels. Corporate executives and individual hotel managers can benefit from easier web and mobile access.

Since 2014, key Kempinski flagship locations have opted to implement Infor EzRMS. Amongst the first adopters were renowned top hotels such as the Adlon Hotel Kempinski in Berlin, the Kempinski Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Munich, the Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva, the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center, the Ciragan Palace Kempinski in Istanbul and the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi. This revenue management solution is provided in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model.
