San Antonio resort upgrades housekeeping software

San Antonio’s La Cantera Resort is upgrading its housekeeping-management software to Optii Keeper. The hotel has set aggressive targets related to guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

“We have been using housekeeping software for many years, which initially enabled us to achieve very positive results,” La Cantera Resort VP/ managing director John Spomer said in a statement. “The increasing sophistication of our team and organic increase in targets meant that we have reached the ceiling of the product’s capability some time ago. We needed to search for a tool that empowers us to meet today’s objectives. Optii stood out as the most advanced and user-friendly offering.”

“It was the automation and depth of Optii Keeper that caught our eye,” Director of Operations Matthew Lauzon said. “The transition to Optii was simple and unproblematic. The managers are eager of their new ability to maintain oversight and manage each room attendant and supervisor towards clearly defined goals. This has enhanced our frontline team with the program’s simplicity and also allows them to view their personal results in real time. Optii’s patented capability to predict cleaning times by guest has already changed the way the department plans and manages their day. As a resort manager, I love the reports which provide insights into the efficiency of floor-based staff unseen in the hotel industry.”

Optii Keeper is specifically designed for housekeeping teams and is highly automated, which allows management teams to focus on managing the people, rather than attending to tedious and repetitive daily operational tasks.
