Las Americas Golden Tower installs Assa Abloy products

The recently built Las Americas Golden Tower is set to offer guests advanced property security with electronic door lock and safe innovations by Assa Abloy Hospitality. Boasting 30 floors of luxurious guestrooms and amenities, the 285-room Panamanian property is on track to open in January 2016, equipped with VingCard Signature RFID door locks and Elsafe Sentinel electronic safes in all rooms and suites.

With VingCard Signature RFID, Las Americas Golden Tower is implementing a powerful and convenient contactless solution that allows guests and staff members to effortlessly gain access to assigned guestrooms by simply tapping the keycard on the door's RFID reader. This secure technology provides the property with an array of operational benefits as well, such as eliminating the potential for keycard de-magnetization. Leveraging the benefits of an online locking system, Las Americas Golden Tower also uses VingCard Visionline alongside Signature RFID — an enhancement that allows individual locks to communicate with the property's server via radio frequency.

With Visionline, staff members can easily extend hotel stays or re-assign RFID keycards to other guestrooms, thus eliminating the need for guests to return to the front desk, and also providing an efficient method of tracking access and remote cancellation of keycards.

"As a property designed to offer the best in luxury and comfort, we understand the critical importance of providing guests with a secure environment, in order to guarantee an uninterrupted first-rate experience," said Fernando Araujo, project manager at Las Americas Golden Tower.

Also equipped with cutting edge anti-cloning technology, Signature RFID represents unmatched functionality and security. Using an advanced encrypted platform, Signature RFID ensures against the potential threat of unauthorized access, while allowing properties to easily upgrade to mobile access capabilities if desired at a later date.

Guests of Las Americas Golden Tower will also find increased peace of mind with the addition of Elsafe Sentinel series electronic safes to effectively safeguard valuable belongings. Currently the only UL-1037 certified safe designed for the hospitality market, the Sentinel II meets and exceeds the security industry's most stringent standards, successfully withstanding numerous durability tests and break-in attempts. Also leveraging the advantages of RFID technology, guests can operate the safe with the same keycard used to gain access to their guestroom without compromising security needs.
