Mid America Lodging Group selected dormakaba to deploy locks in more than 3,000 rooms across 21 properties in its portfolio. Mid America operates Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Choice, and other brands and is involved in hotel management, acquisition and development.
Mid America Lodging Group will rely on dormakaba’s Saflok Quantum radio-frequency ID mobile-ready electronic door locks. Mid America will network its locks with dormakaba’s Ambiance access-management software. Ambiance puts operators in full control of property entry and egress areas by specifying time-sensitive access permissions.
“We standardized Mid America's properties on dormakaba because their locks are reliable and dormakaba’s support is excellent,” Libby George, director of operations for Mid America Lodging Group, said in a statement. “A trustworthy supplier relationship is very important to us. We have used dormakaba’s locks in the past and they are secure and easy to maintain. Twenty-one properties is just a beginning. We will implement dormakaba locks at approximately 30 more hotels in the future. This includes many properties with magstripe locks that we will retrofit with dormakaba RFID [Bluetooth Low Energy-ready units.”
Mid America Lodging Group currently operates 42 properties with 20 in development.
