OpenKey partners with Assa Abloy

OpenKey now integrates with Assa Abloy Hospitality. As a result, OpenKey’s mobile technology can now be used in conjunction with Assa Abloy’s BLE (Bluetooth low energy)-enabled hotel door locks.

OpenKey provides an application for use by both hotel guests and front desk staff that can be integrated into hotel brand apps or work as a standalone solution. OpenKey is now able to deliver SEOS-secured virtual credentials, which can be integrated with its mobile access technology.

“Our solution can be utilized on both iOS and Android devices,” said TJ Person, ceo of OpenKey. “OpenKey will directly benefit hotel owners with an easy to use platform that works regardless of hotel brand.”

The combined solution allows the hotel staff to send a virtual key directly to a guest’s mobile phone when they check in, whether it is prior to arriving or on-site. The mobile phone can then be used to securely access the assigned guestroom.
