Revpar Guru and InnQuest launch interface to integrate RMS, PMS

Revpar Guru has partnered with InnQuest Software to offer full, two-way, real-time integration between Revpar Guru’s yield dynamic price rngine and InnQuest Software’s roomMaster property management system. The integration offers significant pricing and distribution benefits for hotels that are already using the companies’ solutions.

As well as enabling more accurate pricing updates between all internal systems, the interface also provides significant benefits in regards to inventory and channel management. One of the issues facing hoteliers when their internal technology systems are not automatically integrated is overbooking, a problem that can create significant reputation issues for hotels, and significant losses in profits. By using a PMS and an RMS that are fully integrated, a hotel can avoid costly data entry errors and also eliminate overbooking, because inventory is updated across all of the hotel’s internal systems immediately as rooms are purchased, ensuring that a room isn’t sold more than once.

Once new prices are set within the RMS, distribution of the new rates can be executed more quickly – and again, without human error – to the CRS, OTAs and GDS. Using the integrated interface, hotels can also direct more bookings through the hotel’s brand.com site instead of the costly OTA channel. Finally, the integration provides hotels with access to pickup and pace of booking reports and sales tracking statistics, which will help the property’s management team monitor the efficacy of their decision-making.

“Today, savvy hotels list their rooms on a large number of online channels – including large and small OTAs, their brand.com site and metasearch engines,” said Christy Carnley, product manager at InnQuest Solutions. “Without a sophisticated RMS that is fully integrated into the PMS, your property will not achieve the best occupancy, ADR or RevPAR, making integration an operational imperative for all hotels, no matter their geographical location or size.”
