SiteMinder and Innsoft have formed a partnership to offer a new online distribution solution for hotels. By integrating Innsoft’s Check-Inn property management system with SiteMinder's Channel Manager, hotels can access more than 250 of the world's hotel booking sites, and automate the live room rates, availability and reservations delivered between Check-Inn and those channels.
“For our mutual customers, this partnership will eliminate the need for manual and complex price adjustments to update their online booking channels, as well as manual updates of their inventory and reservations which we know just can't be managed this way if you want to keep up with the speed at which bookings happen on the Internet,” said Innsoft's Operations Specialist Chloe Peddicord. “Our customers can now save all the time they spend in maintaining their data – and also cost, as using SiteMinder's Channel Manager, they no longer have to pay hefty reservation delivery fees.”
Speaking on the recent Independent Lodging Market Report, Bernhard Ballin, vice president of enterprise sales for SiteMinder's Americas region, said, “according to the study, half of the U.S.’s independent accommodation providers use a property management system but only thirteen percent employ an integrated channel management solution at their property. What this tells us is that there are still far too many hoteliers who manually manage their data in two or more systems – and disadvantaging themselves.”
